Under this exterior however lies the soft underbelly of luscious plum and berry flavours. It is matured for six months prior to bottling in older oak barrels in order to add some dusty oak complexity whilst letting the red berry fruit and pepperiness shine. The fresh fruit comes to the fore on the palate, which is even and has a lovely velvety texture. The wine is well balanced with understated French oak characters. Drink 2009 to 2013 Availability: IN STOCK View Details Quantity: Mulyan Cowra Cabernet Merlot 2005 Price: AUD 20.00 The cabernet is quite lifted and aromatic with cassis characters and the merlot adds plushness and depth to the flavour profile with dense plum and blueberry flavours. The fresh fruit comes to the fore on the palate, which is even and has a lovely velvety texture. The wine is well balanced with understated French oak characters and may be enjoyed now or allowed to further develop with bottle age. Enjoy with steak and other red meat dishes. The French oak plays a supporting role and there are some lovely fine tannins to provide structure and length. The wine is well balanced and will delight as a young wine as well as developing with bottle age. Enjoy this wine with red meat dishes.
